South Park Commons is a community of technologists ideating and validating what to build next. We believe this shouldn’t be done alone. Our members range from exited founders and highly-cited researchers to new graduates and first-time entrepreneurs. What unites us is ambition, ability, and a mutual commitment to helping each other navigate -1 to 0.

We focus on highly technical builders in the -1 to 0. Over the last decade, we have had 1,000 members join us to start companies, pursue research, and work on other ambitious projects.

Gopal
Gopal is an investor with the SPC Fund based out of NYC. Previously, he helped build Retool’s technical GTM team as a deployed engineer. He studied economics, computer science, and poetry at Stanford, where he was also a Mayfield Fellow. In his spare time, he loves playing tennis, skiing, and writing (usually about art).
Jason
Jason is the co-founder and CEO of Slab. He is also BDFL for the open source project Quill and formerly the founder of Stypi (sold to Salesforce). He holds a BS in Computer Science from Stanford.
Asad
Asad is the CEO and co-founder of Jams, building new ways for people to connect and collaborate online. Previously VP of Creators and Monetization at Meta, where he led teams empowering the next generation of creators. He brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of product, content, and community.
Afrooz
Currently leads Apple’s Applied Acoustics ML team, building next-gen audio features across the ecosystem. Previously cofounded Syng and served as Head of HomePod Software Engineering, where he helped launch the 2nd-gen HomePod.
Kalvin
I’m a software engineer interesting in applying SV’s optimism and maker mindset to an especially challenging question: can we build software that helps people feel like they have enough and are enough, instead of amplifying and exploiting our fears of never enough?
Ayush
Focused on AI-augmented reading tools and modeling human behavior. Did a PhD in Computer Science (Machine learning and Recommendation Systems) at Stanford, Masters in Economics; undergrad at IIT Bombay Computer Science. Previously co-founded MoveUp AI and worked at Google. Always open to connecting — reach out to discuss mutual interests!
Tammy
Tammy is the Founder and CEO of Carrot Fertility, the leading global platform for lifelong fertility and family care. Previously held senior roles at Evernote, the FCC, and the Clinton Foundation, with early experience in the Office of the Vice President.

Previously co-founder of a fitness CV company that sold to Peloton. Currently exploring startup ideas in the generative AI space., Previously co-founder of a fitness CV company that sold to Peloton. Currently building interactive media using AI.
Sai
Prev. Insurance Broker, Auditor, and VC Product Manager. Currently building in Insurance x AI!
Abhinav
Abhinav works on Computer Vision, AI/ML, & Robotics. He is an Associate Professor @ UMD. Before that, he was a visiting RS at Google AI. He completed his PhD in robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017, where he was a MSR Fellow.
