South Park Commons is a community of technologists ideating and validating what to build next. We believe this shouldn’t be done alone. Our members range from exited founders and highly-cited researchers to new graduates and first-time entrepreneurs. Jonathan
Jonathan Mortensen (JMo) is a data scientist and software engineer. After graduating with a PhD in biomedical data science in 2016 from Stanford, Jonathan founded and sold two startups: Gyroscope to BlueVoyant and bit.io to Databricks. Now, JMo is exploring on the intersection of AI and databases.

Faraz is a tech entrepreneur who previously founded two companies, including Screenhero, which sold to Slack. He's currently really into robotics.
Edward
Founder exploring directions in visual genAI. Researcher in Graphics/Vision/XR (ex-Apple research scientist, PhD from UWashington). Hobbies: Playing chamber music (Violin/Viola/Piano), board games, sci-fi/fantasy
Amir
Amir is a co-founder of Baseten, building infrastructure to serve and scale machine learning applications. Previously led data platform engineering at Clover Health and was Head of Engineering at Gumroad.
Vishal
Vishal is the co-founder and former CTO of Leap, building products to address loneliness among older adults. Previously co-founded Screenhero (acquired by Slack), where he later led real-time communications as a Senior Engineering Manager.
Ying
After spending 12 years as a public market investor at hedge funds, I am now building AI assistant for institutional investors.
Brandon
Co-founder of Power, building a network for medical research. Previously led revenue and operations at Setter (acquired by Thumbtack) and later helped integrate the teams as Head of BizOps at Thumbtack.
Rishi
Rishi is a software engineer at Airtable. Before that, he was the first employee at Zulip, an open source team chat application.
Noah
Noah is an applied AI lead at OpenAI, focused on turning frontier models into real-world impact. Previously co-founded Eureka and led product at Forward after starting out as a software engineer. Former South Park Commons fellow.
