South Park Commons is a community of technologists ideating and validating what to build next. We believe this shouldn’t be done alone. Our members range from exited founders and highly-cited researchers to new graduates and first-time entrepreneurs. What unites us is ambition, ability, and a mutual commitment to helping each other navigate -1 to 0.

Outdoorsy backend Software Engineer focused on privacy and security. I have worked the last 3 years on Istio and cloud infrastructure.
Ankit
Ankit is a Principal at South Park Commons, supporting founders from idea to company. Previously led U.S. expansion and growth at Servify and co-founded iService, a consumer device repair and service platform. He brings deep experience in GTM, operations, and cross-border scaling.
Andrew
Software engineer, previously worked at Figma on the product and the engine, Berkeley CS. Interested in computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning.
Dhruv
Dhruv is an ex-Googler with experience working on Machine Learning problems involving language and privacy. He likes thinking about big problems from first principles, appreciates thoughtful design in tech, and enjoys writing.
Brandon
Co-founder of Power, building a network for medical research. Previously led revenue and operations at Setter (acquired by Thumbtack) and later helped integrate the teams as Head of BizOps at Thumbtack.
Joseph
Joe is a Principal Scientist at Adobe and former co-founder and CEO of Facet, an AI-powered image editing platform. Previously co-founded Premise Data, where he served as CTO.
Michael
Michael Lai's six word story is “failed professional athlete, striving education entrepreneur.” He is currently building Tinycare, a network of micro daycares aiming to fix the childcare crisis. Previously, he built Promise, a nonprofit venture studio for early childhood development, Minerva Project, Google.org, and competed on Harvard's varsity golf team (where he was decidedly NOT the next Tiger Woods). His passion for education starts from the classroom — 6 years volunteer teaching preschool, elementary, and middle school.
Andreas
Andreas is the co-founder and COO of Pulley, building the first dedicated platform for construction permitting. Previously served as Chief of Staff at Procore and led strategy at Honest Buildings (acquired by Procore).
Marcel
Marcel is the founder of Apache Impala, which he started when he joined Cloudera in 2011 and for which he was the architect/TL until 2017. Before Cloudera, he worked on database technology at Google and several startups. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Kanishk
Formerly special projects at Affirm and EE #3 at Kojo. Interested in cycling and reading science fiction. Optimistic about the world.
